I'm Oscar Echeverri: dad, husband and software engineer. I picked up pickleball about six months ago and I love the game. I'd call myself a solid novice, edging toward intermediate, and I play out of the Westside Pickleball Club in Almonte, Ontario.

This site is where I write up the paddles and gear I actually use on court: what I liked, what I didn't, and who I think it's for. I'm still learning the game, so these are the honest impressions of a developing player, not a pro's lab test.

How I score

Every review gets an overall score out of 10, and paddles also get sub-scores for things like power, control and spin. Scores reflect my own play style and experience, so your mileage may vary.
